Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Gr II

Age Limit:

IB ACIO (Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer) is conducted by Ministry of Home Affairs to select candidates for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (Grade II/Executive) in Intelligence Bureau (Ministry of Home Affairs). It is General Central Service, Group ‘C’ (Non-gazetted, Non Ministerial) post.

IB ACIO 2019: Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:
One must be an Indian national.

Age Limit:
The lower age limit is 18 years and the upper age limit is 27 years. There is relaxation in the upper age limit of candidates as per the rules.

Departmental Candidates who have rendered 3 years of regular and continuous service Up to the age of
40 Years

In the case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried. Under general category
Up to the age of 35 Years

In the case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried. Under SC/ ST category
Up to the age of 40 Years

There is also a provision of age relaxation for Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 and for children and dependents of victims of communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat as per the government instructions.


Educational Qualification:
One must be a graduate from a recognized university on or before the closing date of application.

Other Eligibilities:
One needs to have knowledge of computer operation. Candidates belonging to the Physically Handicapped category (PWD -Category) are not eligible for the posts.


Exam Pattern

The written test consists of two papers having the Objective type and Descriptive type questions.

Paper 1 consists of questions from English Comprehension, General Awareness/General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mathematical Ability, etc.

Paper 2 is a subjective paper which consists of Precis, Comprehension and Essay Writing.
One has to write an essay of not more than 400 words.

The paper should be completed in 30 minutes.

The candidates who pass the written round can go for the other rounds.

The topics are Emergency Trends in India, Security Threats in India or Cultural Diversity of India, for Essay writing.

d) English language.

II a) Essay on one of the given topics (30marks)
b) English comprehension & précis writing (20 marks).

Duration:
The total time for both the exams is 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Interview:
This is the second and last round. The candidates who have passed the written test round are eligible for the interview round.
