Here is the eligibility criteria of the exam Should have a degree of any stream Universities students appearing for their final year degree exam are also eligible to apply for IAS 2016. Students with professional and technical qualifications recognized by the Government of India as equivalent to professional and technical degrees are eligible to apply. Student who have passed final year of MBBS exam but are yet to complete internship can apply for the prelim exam. Age Limit:- A students must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years. Here I’m telling you some tentative dates for IAS exam CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM. 2016:- 1st week of August 2016 CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAM, 2016:- 1st week of December 2016 DURATION OF EXAM:- 5 DAYS Here is the exam syllabus of IAS exam Paper I - (200 marks) Duration : Two hours Current events of national and international importance. History of India and Indian National Movement. Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World. Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc. Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc. General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialisation General Science. Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours Comprehension Interpersonal skills including communication skills; Logical reasoning and analytical ability Decision-making and problemsolving General mental ability Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. - Class X level) |
