IAS Exam Entrance
I want to apply for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) entrance exam of Union Public Service Commission so tell me the eligibility and the age criteria for this exam? when the application process for IAS exam will start also provide me the syllabus of this exam?

Indian Administrative Services (IAS), one of the wings of Civil Services Examination, is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). UPSC Syllabus Civil Services Preliminary Exam UPSC Syllabus for Paper I (200 marks) Duration: Two hours (Counted for the merit rank in the Prelims) Current events of national and international importance. History of India and Indian National Movement. Indian and World Geography Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World. Indian Polity and Governance Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc. Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc. General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change that do not require subject specialization. General Science. UPSC Syllabus for Paper II Comprehension. Interpersonal skills including communication skills. Logical reasoning and analytical ability. Decision-making and problem-solving. General mental ability. Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. Class X level). UPSC IAS Exam Pattern: Preliminary Exam The Preliminary exam consist of two papers General Ability Test (GAT) and Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT) Both these papers are compulsory but their marks are not considered to prepare the final result. The questions are of objective type with 4 answer choices. Candidates have to select the correct answer. There is a provision of negative marking where of the total marks allotted to the question are deducted for incorrect answer. The question papers will be in two languages Hindi and English. The question on reading comprehension will be only in English.
