IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. The exam is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Examination.

The civil services exams are considered to be the one of the prestigious ones in the country.

The IAS exam is a two stage exam consisting of Preliminary Examination and Main Examination.

The prelims are objective type while the mains are written exams followed by interview.
