Iaf mi 26

I am very much interested in the Air Force and have heard about the MI 26 Indian military aircraft plane. Will you tell me detail about the IAF MI 26 aircraft plane? Also provide me the lists of active Indian military aircraft working in the IAF?

The Mil-26 helicopter is the biggest, largest and heaviest helicopter in the world. It can carry 20 tons off payload either internally or externally.


Indian air force will use this helicopter. This helicopter can carry 82 fully equipped assault troops.

Also it can be used as flying ambulance and in this role it can carry 60lying casualties. It is capable of launching at altitude and has been pasted till DBO i.e. 16500 ft.

It can be used for civil engineering building of roads / bridges, building.

The crest of this unit has not been approved.
