The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has acted as a medium, leader and a prime mover for the promotion of domestic and foreign tourism in Himachal Pradesh. It has wide network of accommodation that comprises of Hotels, Restaurants and Cafeterias serving varied cuisine, including Himachali delicacies.
The HPTDC hotels have three categories viz. Premium – Heritage, Deluxe and Budget Hotels. HPTDC also operates fleet of Volvo and Deluxe buses to facilitate the tourists visiting within and outside the State.
Kashmir House
Built in 1935 by Lala Amar Nath Sood, the Kashmir House was purchased by then Maharaja of J&K Sh. Hari Singh. Later the Raja sold it to the Punjab Govt.
The Kashmir House was later handed over to HPTDC to run as a deluxe hotel by the State Govt. It has a truly regal setting with a spectacular view.
