Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat was founded in 1961, it is an engineering institute of higher education which was established by the Parliament of India in 1961 and it is recognized by the Government of India

The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctoral courses in Engineering and Technology, Science, Humanities and Management.

Admission process:
Admissions to SVNIT are granted on the basis of performance in the All India Engineering/Pharmacy/Architecture Entrance Examination (JEE (Main)) conducted by CBSE, for MHRD, Government of India.

Applicants must have passed class 12th or equivalent Examination with (40%).
