Railway Ticket Collector (Abbr. TC), most commonly known as TTE (Travelling Ticket Examiner)

For getting job as Railway TTE then you have to pass written exam that is conducted by particular RRB.

Examination
On the basis of performance in the written exam, candidates will be called for personal interview.
On selection, they will receive a short training of about one month, laid down by zonal railways.
During the training period, they will get a stipend.

Eligibility:
The applicant should have 10th class pass with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized central or state board.

Those who have completed their diploma or 12th class can also apply for the same. Graduates are also qualified for this post provided they are not above the specified age limits.

The age limit of the candidate must be 18-25 years.

Pay Scale and Benefits
The basic pay scale of a newly appointed railway ticket collector varies between Rs.3050-Rs.4590.

The monthly pay scale constitutes, Basic + Grade pay + DA (90%).

They also get attractive incentives including contributory provident fund, gratuity, medical facilities and free/concession railways passage etc.

Promotions

The following higher grade posts are available in the normal channel of promotion:
Senior Ticket Collector/ Traveling Ticket Examiner
Head Ticket Collector/ Senior Traveling Ticket Examiner
Traveling Ticket Inspector/ Conductor
Chief Ticket Inspector

Syllabus

1. General Awareness: This part of question paper gauges the candidates is up to date with surrounding and includes the following:
Current Affairs (National and International)
Major Financial/Economic News
Budget and Five Year Plans
Who is Who?
Sports
Books and Authors
Awards and Honour
Science - Inventions and Discoveries
Abbreviations
Important Days
International and National Organisations


2. Arithmetic Ability: This part of exam is usually checks the quantitative and mathematical skills of the candidates and following is the topics from which the questions asked:
Number System
HCF, LCM
Simplification
Decimal Fractions
Ratio and Proportions
Unitary Method
Percentage
Time and Distance
Time and Work
Profit and Loss
Average
Simple and Compound Interest
Mensuration (2D and 3D)
Algebra
Data Interpretation

3. Technical Ability - This is generally the questions that includes the knowledge of the candidates about the profession and some technical questions which may be tricky.

4. Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability/Aptitude: This part usually tries to test the reasoning abilities and Gauges aptitude of the person. It includes the following:


VERBAL:
Number Series
Alphabet Series
Test of Direction Sense
Coding-Decoding
Number Ranking
Arithmetical Reasoning
Problem on Age Calculation
Blood Relations
Analogy
Decision Making etc.
NON-VERBAL:
Non Verbal Series
Mirror Images
Cubes and Dice
Grouping Identical Figures
Embedded Figures etc

5. General Intelligence: This part usually tries to test the General Intelligence of the person.

As you want to get job in railway department as TTE so you want to get information about it so here I am giving you same:

Eligibility:

Nationality:

Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Qualification:
Candidate must be passed in 12 with at least 50% marks from any recognized University.

Age Limit:
Minimum age is 18 years.
Maximum age is 30 years.

Paper Pattern Details:
There will be an objective type question paper having multiple choice questions on the below mentioned topics for the concerned recruitment exam:

1) General Awareness
2) General Intelligence
3) General English
4) Arithmetic Ability
5) Reasoning Ability and
6) Technical Ability as per the post applied

Total Number of Questions:
150

Total Time Allotted:
120 Minutes/ 2 Hours
