What is the eligibility for PHD in sociology from IGNOU distance education if I want to PHD then how I can do PHD in sociology how much fee are required?

To be eligible for PhD (Sociology) program offered by IGNOU the candidate should have a M.Phil. Degree and a Post-Graduate Degree in a relevant discipline or should have Masters Degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognised university and five years of teaching/ industry/ administration/ professional experience at senior level.

For pursuing PhD. in Sociology through distance learning one must have at least 55% marks in his Master's degree in relevant field to become eligible.
There is relaxation of 5% marks for aspirants who belong to reserved category. If you have good score in exams like NET/SLET/GATE/JRF then you will have good chance of getting admission in a top University.
