Here are details related to Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) exam;

Educational Qualification:
The applicant should have Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.

Age Limit
Minimum 25 years;
Maximum 45 years

Selection Procedure:
The Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) exam is based on 2 stages ie

Preliminary Examination and
Main Examination

Preliminary Examination:
The Preliminary Examination will be Objective in nature and is only qualifying type.

The marks obtained in the Prelim Examination by the candidate who are declared qualified for admission to the main examination will not be counted for determining their final result.
it will consist of 2 papers viz.,

a) Paper I (Compulsory): General Knowledge & General Science
b) Paper II (optional): Candidates can choose from 30 mixed streams mentioned in the notification

Main Examination:
The main examination will consist of the following papers

Compulsory Papers

a) Paper I: General Knowledge & General Science (100 marks)
b) Paper II: General Knowledge of Rajasthan, Rajasthani Society, Art & Culture (100 marks)
c) Paper III: General Hindi (200 marks)
d) Paper IV: General English (100 marks)

Optional Papers

e) Paper V, Paper VI, Paper VII, and Paper VIII:
Any 2 subjects to be opted by a candidate from the list of optional subjects.
Each subject will have two papers (200 Maximum Marks for each paper)

Rajasthan Administrative Service is the supreme civil service of the Indian state of Rajasthan.

The recruitment is made on the basis of annual Competitive Examination.

The officers are included in the state cadre of civil service officers.

The cadres usually start from a designation lower in rank than Indian Administrative Service (IAS)

Promotee RAS officers gradually can take posts equivalent to IAS officers.

RAS exam is organised by Rajasthan Public Service Commission

Generally vacancies of the RAS are open once in two to three years.
