Hindustan College of Engineering, started in 1985 and was conferred the "University Status" by University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India, in 1956 and from the academic year 2008-09 and under the name HITS (Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science).

As per my knowledge, Hindustan University or Hindustan College of Engineering does not have any branch in Mumbai. It has branches in Colombo, Muscat, Coimbatore, Delhi, Kochi and Chennai.

1. Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or any authority accepted by the Board of Management.
2. Aggregate of 50% in the qualifying examination.
3. One year work experience
4. Should be currently employed in or around Chennai
