Department of Higher & Technical Education

The Department of Higher & Technical Education was established in 1984 after bifurcation from the Department of School Education. It is the apex authority responsible for steering and supporting the development and growth of quality Higher and Technical Education that meets educational and social objectives of the state.

Organization Structure

The Department of Higher & Technical Education functions under the Principal Secretary who is assisted by 4 Joint Secretaries, 1 Deputy Secretary, 8 Under Secretaries, 22 Section Officers, and other staff in the respective departments and directorates.
