Re: Higher Studies after B.Com Other than MBA

As you have asked about the higher studies information after B.Com check the information given below

1. M.com: M.Com is an extension to b.com and helps you gain a cavernous insight into overall functions of working of a business. Generally those who want to do research work take on this course. On corporate side you have chance in finance division of corporate to work as an analyst, research work, consulting etc

2. Chartered Accountant: A CA can be done along with bachelors itself. This course helps to develop level of knowledge in Accounts, Tax, Audit & Assurance and Consulting. At the transitional level one is required to do article ship where in one can get and understanding into these departments thus align job to your desire.

3. CS : These are the people who ensure supervisory compliance of rules and regulations. Again like CA, it can be pursued along with grads and is relatively easier than CA.

4. ICWA: Cost accountants whoregulates and manages cost of an organization

5. Law: With a little understanding of business law in b.com an individual can get a short-term revelation to the subject and probably decide if he wants to pursue this or not.

Apart from these generic course there are number of other course that an individual can pursue.

CFA: This is a specialized course on the higher side as per cost is concerned. This helps an individual to gain profounder understanding of corporate. It covers a broad range of topics relating to investment management, financial analysis, stocks, bonds and derivatives, and provides generalist knowledge of other areas in finance. It has three levels and with decent past percentage and helps you rise quicker in the corporate ladder.

Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

If you have plans of going global or want to work in the Top MNCs then going for international certifications is the right choice for you. The CMA is offered by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) USA and the content is frequently revised by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA). To be a CMA, a student is required to clear two examinations. CMA demonstrates your professional expertise in financial planning, analysis, control, decision support, and professional ethics – making you the ideal choice of the potential employers

UPSC: A b.com student has a good GK. One can get little more focused and study hard and give government examinations like UPSC.
