The pattern of the recruitment test for HAL is given below: There are five disciplines in which the question booklets are divided: • Mechanical and Production • Metallurgy • Computer Science • Aeronautical • Electrical and Electronics There are 160 questions in all the booklets. The questions are all objective types. 15 questions on General Awareness 25 questions on General Engineering 120 questions on the specific discipline. Each question carries 1 mark. So the total is 160. There is no negative marking in the exam. The candidates should have passed the final year of any of the specified branches with 60% marks in aggregate in all the semesters for general applicants and 50% marks for SC/ST Candidates.
