Gujarat University was established in 23 November 1949, it is a state university and It is accredited B++ by NAAC.

Doctoral Program leading to the degree of Ph.D. shall be offered in the following Faculties/Subjects

Arts
Commerce and Management
Education
Journalism and Communication
Law
Medicine,
Dental and other paramedical subjects such as Physiotherapy, etc.
Physical Education
Science, including Computer Science

Eligibility:
Applicants must have Master's Degree with at least 55% (SC/ST 50%) or equivalent grade in the subject from Gujarat University or any other University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
