Yes the Gujarat University has a Geography Department for provides courses in Geography study.

The Department of Geography was established in July 1977 initially in the school of Social Sciences with full time Lecturers.

The department is become functionally part of the School of Sciences. In addition to teaching, the department provides research guidance to Ph.D. students.

There are 40 students are in M.A, Programme and 2 students are working for Ph.D. programme.
