The Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is a major NASA space research laboratory established on May 1, 1959. GSFC is the largest combined organization of scientists and engineers in the United States Workmanship Manual for Electrostatic Discharge Control This manual was created specifically for the use of the GSFC. The purpose of this document is to define the minimum requirements (per ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007) for protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage to ESD sensitive (ESDS) devices, and to ensure reliable performance of GSFC spaceflight and ground support hardware. This Workmanship Manual defines and implements the ESD Control Program at GSFC.
