Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts recruitment examination for various vacancies in Group 1 Services. Here are the details of this examination:

Eligibility:
The applicant should have completed graduation with good academic record from any recognized university of India.

Important dates:
Date of Notification 29.12.2013
Last date for submission of applications 28.01.2014
Last date for payment of Fee through Bank or Post Office 30.01.2014
Date of Preliminary examination 26.04.2014(10.00 A.M. to 1.00 P .M.)

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission – APPSC conducts Group – 1 exam for the posts of various vacancies in various A.P State Government departments

APPSC Group I Exam Eligibility

Nationality: A Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Upper age limit relaxations -

5 years for SC/ST and BCs Candidate’s.

10 years for Physically Handicapped (PH) Candidates.

3 years for Ex-Service men

3 years a for N.C.C

5 years for A.P. State Government Employees

3 years for Retrenched temporary employees in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6 months.

Educational qualification:

For Post Code -
01 to 04, 06 to 08, 10 to 12 & 14 to 19

Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or an equivalent qualification.

Bachelor’s Degree in B.E. (Fire), provided that if BE (Fire) candidates are not available Candidates with the degree in any discipline will be considered.

For Post Code - 13

Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or an equivalent qualification.

Preference shall be given to persons possessing a degree in “Sociology” or “Social Work”

For Post Code -09

Degree in Commerce OR Economics OR Mathematics of a University recognized by the U.G.C. with at least Second class in the subject OR CA of the UK or India or an Incorporated Accountant (London)

Exam pattern

APPSC Group – 1 Exam is conducted in 3 Stages:

1) Preliminary Examination (Objective paper)
2) Main’s Examination (Conventional Type)
3) Interview/OralTest

1) Preliminary Examination: T

The exam consists of one objective type paper.

Minimum qualifying marks will be given for reservation candidates as per the rules.

Main Examination:

Candidate’s who qualified in preliminary examination will go to second stage i.e Main examination

It contains five papers in conventional type & is of degree standard syllabus .

The General English paper is of qualifying one and its marks are not counted for final ranking.

All the question papers except General English may be answered either in English or Telugu or Urdu.

Minimum qualifying marks will be given for reservation candidates as per the rules.
