Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a standardised test used to get admissions in the graduate schools or business schools in the United States.

GRE Exam pattern

The GRE sample papers will have the following sections:

1. Analytical writing:

In this section, the examiner analyzes the candidate’s capacity to communicate an idea through the most effective words and expressions.

The candidates will be typing down an essay in a word processing program prepared by ETS especially for the exam.

The GRE sample tests will give ample chance for the candidates to practice on the essays.

2. Verbal reasoning:

This section has three different types of questions such as reading comprehension, text completion and sentence equivalence.

The GRE sample questions for the session will give the candidates a clear idea about the nature of questions in the section.

3. Quantitative reasoning:

This section consists of the following types of questions: quantitative comparison questions, multiple choice questions- choose one answer,multiple choice questions- choose one or more answers and numeric entry questions.
