As you asking for thre GNDU distance education let me tell you that the Guru Nanak Dev University was established at Amritsar, India on November 24, 1969 the
University offers courses in Science (B.Sc & M.Sc), Arts (B.A & M.A), Commerce (B.Com) , Vocational (Diploma, Certificate & PG Diploma) and Professional (BBA, BCA, B.Lib, BJMC and LLB Academic) through distance learning.

- It has Associate Institutes in Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Ludhiana, Gobindgarh, Faridkot, Ferozepur, Bathinda, Hoshiarpur and New Delhi. Personal Contact Programmes are held in these centres.

One of the campuses of GJDU is in Jalandhar. Guru Nanak Dev University established its Regional campus at Jalandhar in 1979 with English, Punjabi and Law departments. Later, department of Journalism was added in the year 1995.


In jalandhar campus GJDU offers professional courses i.e. Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics &Communication Engineering and School of Legal studies in 2002
