Can you tell me about the School Hours and School Uniforms for GIIS (Global Indian international School), Punggol in Singapore?

GIIS (Global Indian international School) was founded in 2002. It has since grown to span seven countries across Asia, with 19 campuses in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, UAE, Vietnam and India.


School hours

Kindergarten:
9:00 am to 12:15 pm (Monday to Friday)

Class 1 to 12:
9:00 am to 3:40 pm (Monday to Friday)

There is a short recess for 10 minutes and a longer lunch break for 30 minutes.

Co-curricular activities and Extra-curricular activities (Sports) are held as per the time table.

School appoints external school bus operators to provide transport services for its students.


School Bus Details:

Estimated travel time from first to last stop is 30 - 60mins. For long haul routes (areas beyond the 8km radius from campus), estimated travel time is 60 - 70mins

Designated pick up and drop off locations will be provided by transporters as per routing
Bigger buses have designated centralised pick-up points

Parents are not permitted to travel by the school bus

Bus charges are not included in tuition fees and are based on bus zones

For new admissions, bus operators would need at least 3 to 5 working days after registration before the student can utilize school bus services

In the case of change in residential address, kindly update profile immediately. School should be notified via email at least one week in advance

The bus operators will work out the most practical routes so as to reduce the travel time.

Requests from parents for specific routes or timings will not be entertained by the bus operator

All buses are air-conditioned

GIIS students are required to attend in full school uniform on all school days.

Hair style for Boys
Students should be neatly groomed at all times. Untidy, unruly and long hairs are not permitted.

Hair style for Girls
Girls are to keep their hair short and to keep their hair in place black hair bands/clips should be used. Those who wish to keep their hair long are to plait the hair using black ribbons or bands.
