This policy document sets out the school's aims, principles and strategies for the delivery of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
This policy was developed in the summer term 2010 by the IT Co-ordinator. It was formally adopted by staff on
1st September 2010 and will be reviewed at regular intervals and updated as necessary by the IT Co-ordinator.

ICT aims:-
1. Ensure all staff and pupils are confident, competent and skilled users of ICT.
2. Motivate and inspire pupils to enjoy using ICT to tackle all applications with confidence and a
sense of achievement and purpose.
3. Develop an appreciation of the use of ICT in the context of the wider world.
4. Enrich learning through identifying exciting ICT opportunities.

ICT Meaning:-
Information and communication technology (ICT) comprises a variety of systems that handle and allow the
Communication of electronically retrievable information.

ICT Impotrtance:-
1. Its use is widespread in the modern technological world and likely to continue to grow
2. it is an important medium for learning and study at all educational levels.
3. it is an important tool in the administration, management and communication systems of the school
