National Insurance Company Limited (NICL), , is a fully central Government owned insurance company. The NICL was established in 1907 and was nationalized in 1972.

NICL is the oldest insurance company in India and the only PSU non life insurance Company headquartered in the Eastern part of the country.

The Chairman and Managing Director of NICL is Mr.A.V.Girija Kumar. The General Manager and Executive Director of NICL is Mr.K.V.Brahma.
