NTPC Limited (formerly National Thermal Power Corporation Limited) is an Indian Public Sector Undertaking, engaged in the business of generation of electricity and allied activities. It is a company incorporated under the Companies Act 1956 and is promoted by the Government of India. Its core business is generation and sale of electricity to state-owned power distribution companies and State Electricity Boards in Country. It also undertakes consultancy and turnkey project contracts that involve engineering, project management, construction management and operation and management of power plants. NTPC Summer Training/Internship NTPC is one of the best companies to join summer training program for B. Tech. graduates. There are no predefined criteria about internship in NTPC. The Company does not publish any notification about summer internship; one has to approach HR or management team of NTPC. One has to get a letter from College for internship. With that letter apply to HR or training department in each and every plant of NTPC. If vacancy is there they will certainly call. Generally trainings are performed in the month of June/ July every year. One needs to send the resume to regional HR manager NTPC. HR is the only responsible person for trainee selection procedure. One should contact placement cell of their college/institution and try to convince them to offer training letter. General Eligibility Criteria for Internship in NTPC One must have completed or appearing in B. Tech/BE 3rd year exam. One must have Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics as B. Tech/ BE. Branch At least 65% marks in university semester exams. One should have age between 21-30 years. There is also an age relaxation criteria for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years) reserved categories.
