Final Year B.E. Automobile Engineering Applicant Eligible For IES

I am a final year B.E. automobile engineering student . Am I eligible for IES or not ?

Yes definitely being a final year B.E. automobile engineering student you are eligible for IES .

IES holds by UPSC. All Engineering students can apply for IES exam. but there is no separate Automobile stream in IES. You have to give exam in one of the following streams given below:
1) Civil
2) Electronics
3)Electrical
4) Mechanical

Eligibility Criteria:
Aspirants must be an Indian citizen.
Applicants must have BE or B. Tech degree in any branch from recognized university or its equivalent.
Final year students of engineering can also apply for IES exam.
Candidates must attain the age of 21 years but not more than 30 years.
There is age relaxation in age for SC/ST and OBC
OBC age limit 21 to 33 years
SC/ST age limit 21 to 35 years

The scheme of the exam is as follows

The paper includes both objective multiple choice type and conventional essay type papers
Section -A (objective type)
Three papers (general ability, 2 papers on respective stream ie civil,mechanical,Electrical or Electronics)
Section -B (essay type)
Two papers from the stream.
