Educational Qualification:

Applicants must have done Graduation in any discipline or B.E/ B.Tech with 60% marks for Flying Branch.

Applicants must have done four year degree qualification or have qualified the Sections A and B exam of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) with 60% marks for Technical Branch .

Applicants must have done Graduation with 60% marks/ Post Graduation Degree/ Diploma in any discipline/ Graduation Degree in Commerce/ C.A/ ICWA with 50% marks for Ground Duty Branch.

Indian Air Force Conducts Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT ) to Recruit Adventurous Men and Women to Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officers in Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branches.


The Test is Conducted Twice a year in February and September.

Flying Branch

Age:

19 to 23 years

Upper age Limit for Candidates Holding valid and Current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (Indian) is relax able upto 25 years.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates must have passed Graduates (minimum 3 years Degree Course) in any discipline from a recognized university who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level or B.E./B.Tech degree (4 year course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together

Technical Branch :

Age:

Age limit is -18 to 28 years .

Eligibility :

Candidates applying for AE (L) Branch should Have scored a Minimum of 60% marks in Aggregate in all papers put together

Ground Duty Branch

Age :

Graduate, 20 to 23 years

Educational

Candidates must have passed Graduate Degree (minimum 3 years Degree Course) in any Discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or a post graduate degree/equivalent diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together

Selection Process:

Candidates will be Selected Based on the Performance in AFCAT & Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) (for Candidates applied for Technical Branch only) followed by Intelligence Test, Psychological Test, Group Test, Medical Test and Interview conducted by Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs).

Candidates applying for Flying Branch must appear for CPSS (Computerized Pilot Selection System), Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT).
