Exemption in CA CPT
I am Commerce student and completed my 12th with Commerce stream want to give the CA CPT exam heard about the Exemption in CA CPT. Will you please provide me all the details related to Exemption in CA CPT Exam and also tell me Documents Required for CA CPT Registration?

The Council of ICAI has amended the norms for entry into the CA Profession and has exempted Graduates from appearing for CPT. Students who have passed the Intermediate level examination conducted by (ICWAI) The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or by (ICSI) The Institute of Company Secretaries of India are exempted from Writing CPT Exam. For Graduates/ Post Graduates who are eligible can directly join Articleship training, The Students falling under this category are eligible for Joining Articleship training only after Passing the 1st group of IPCC. Exam pattern: CPT is an objective type test with negative marking. Subjects are to be studied in CPT as follows: SESSION – I ( Two Sections – Two hours – 100 marks ) Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 marks ) Section B: Mercantile Laws ( 40 marks ) SESSION – II ( Two Sections – Two hours – 100 marks) Section C: General Economics ( 50 marks ) Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 marks) Documents Required for CA CPT Registration Demand Draft taken towards registration fee. Attested Copy of 10th class passing marks certificate by Chartered Accountant / Gazetted Officer / Head of the Institution Attested copy of Date of Birth certificate IF not available in 10th Marks certificate. Attested copy of 12th pass or its equivalent qualification as recognized by the Central Government, if passed for foreign students attested copy of nationality Proof of special category certificate i.e. SC/ST, OBC and Disabled Dates: CPT Registration Last Date for June 2016 exams – 31st March 2016 (31-03-2016) |
