When will the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India invites the application form for the June CA CPT Examination? Provide the CA CPT Exam Eligibility criteria.

Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test is directed by ICAI for admitting the aspiring students to Chartered Accountancy course.

It conducts twice in a year (June and December), at all the major cities of India.

Exam Eligibility

Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent, from any recognized Board.

As the last date to apply is over , better ,luck next time .

Important Dates:

Date of Notification for the application form was 20th Jan, 2015

Last Date of Registration was 28th Apr, 2015

Date of CPT Exam: 14th Jun, 2015

Paper Pattern

It is an entry level test for CA Course, which is held twice a year

The test comprises of four subjects viz., Mercantile Laws, General Economics, Accounting and Quantitative Aptitude

This test is for 200 marks

Subjects are to be studied in CPT as follows:

SESSION – I ( Two Sections – Two hours – 100 marks )

Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 marks )
Section B: Mercantile Laws ( 40 marks )

SESSION – II ( Two Sections – Two hours – 100 marks)

Section C: General Economics ( 50 marks )

Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 marks)
