Yes, University of Pune conducts entrance exam for admission to M.Sc Biotechnology course.
Admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology (General) teaching programme is through a centralized Combined Entrance Examination for admission to M.Sc./M.Sc.(Agr.)/
M.Vsc.(Animal) Biotechnology/M.Tech. Biotechnology Programme.

Eligibility:
The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and fishery sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4-year B.Sc. (Physician Assistant Course); OR Medicine (MBBS) or B.D.S. with at least 55% marks.

Scholarship/ Fellowship
Students selected for admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology (General) Programme of the participating Universities which are financially supported by the Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India) will be eligible to receive scholarship at the rate of Rs. 3000/- p.m.

From 10.00 a.m. on 7th February, 2014.

Issue of offline Application Forms (by post): 7th February 2014

Last date for issue of offline Application Forms ( by post):
11th March 2014

Closing of online Application Process : till 5.00 p.m. on 16th March, 2014.

Last date for submission of completed Application Forms to reach JNU
i) Offline Application forms : 28th March 15 2014
ii) Printed copy of online Application form : 2nd April 2014
Date and time of Entrance Examination : May 19, 2014 (9.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon)
