Can you tell me which Entrance Exam do I need to clear for admission in B Tech course offered by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani as I want to do my B Tech from there?

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is one of the best institutions in India offering technology and engineering programmes. For admission in it one needs to clear BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) which is a computer-based admission test for its integrated first-degree programmes offered by all its three campuses – Pilani campus, Goa campus and Hyderabad campus. BITSAT Eligibility • One must have cleared Class 12th board examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their subjects in or will be appearing for the exam, • For B. Pharm (Hons) program, one with Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Class 12 can also apply. • One need to obtained at least 60% in each of the above-mentioned subjects and at least 75% in aggregate, • One need to have sufficient proficiency in English, • One who has taken Class 12 board exams for more than once, only latest performance is considered. • Present students of any of the BITS campuses are not eligible to appear for BITSAT. • BITSAT admission offers a unique proposition for the Board toppers of all the central and state boards in India. All students who obtain first rank in Class 12 board exams are given direct admission to the programmes of the choice irrespective of the BITSAT scores, if they meet other eligibility criteria of BITSAT. BITSAT Selection Procedure: On the basis of the performance of the candidates in the BITSAT and the Class XII marks. BITSAT Paper Pattern: • BITSAT is a Computer Based Online Test. • Duration of BITSAT is three hours with 150 multiple choice questions • The BITSAT Question Paper has divided into four sections: First section in Physics with 40 questions Second section in Chemistry with 40 questions Third section consists of questions to test the candidate’s English Proficiency with 15 questions and Logical Reasoning with 10 questions Fourth section in Maths with 45 questions • Each correct answer will get three marks each • One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. |
