Re: Engineering is Equal to MCA or not
No engineering and MCA both are different courses. MCA is Master of Computer Application and it is a master’s course whereas in engineering degree offered is B.E/ B.Tech which is a an under graduate course. So equality can’t be made between these two. B.Tech in CS or IT and MCA may have some similarity but they can’t be assuming to be equal. To pursue MCA you firstly have to complete a graduation course. The Eligibility Criteria to apply and take up the MCA course: 1. Candidate should be a minimum graduate in any stream from a recognized college or university but preferably BCA as it would be easier to study ahead. 2. Candidate must have studied Maths as a subject in either 12th boards or as a separate subject in graduation. 3. There is no age or attempt limits to this program. Some good engineering colleges: Indian Institute of Technology, Madras Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay VIT University, Vellore Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Sambalpur Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai Thapar University, Patiala SRM University, Chennai SASTRA University, Thanjavur PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore National Institute of Technology, Warangal |
