The Institute for Environmental and Energy Law was established in 1990. Institute for Environmental Law (IEL) was created within the Faculty of Law of the K.U. Leuven. The name of director of this institute is Professor Dr. Kurt Deketelaere.

Courses:
Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Energy, Environmental and Climate Change Law

Admission Requirements

The Course shall be open to applicants in possession of one of the following qualifications:

(a) the degree of Doctor of Laws or
(b) a Bachelor degree in Law as the main Honours area of study, obtained with at least Second Class or
(c) a degree which the Board considers as comparable to any of the degrees indicated in paragraphs (a) and (b) above.

The Applicants whose undergraduate degree was not completed in English must demonstrate proficiency in English as evidenced by a TOEFL .
