Eligible For IIT JEE Exam After Completing Diploma In Mechanical Engineering

I have completed class 12 with PCM and diploma in Mechanical Engineering stream.Am i eligible for the IIT-JEE exam?

After completing class 12 with PCM and diploma in Mechanical Engineering you are eligible for the lateral entry. In lateral entry you are not required to do first year of B.Tech , you can get direct admission in the second year.

The lateral entry is offered by most of the colleges but not by Indian Institutes of Technology.

But after completing class 12 with PCM and diploma with Mechanical Engineering , you are eligible for the IIT-JEE exam,because to appear in the exam , minimum criteria is 12th pass.
IIT JEE Main exam is the exam for admission into B.E/B.Tech in different prestigious institutions of India including IIT and NIT.
First the JEE Main exam will be conducted and then who are ranked well in the main exam are eligible for the JEE Advanced exam.
Only the JEE advanced exam will be considered for the admission to Indian Institute of Technology.
The IIT JEE main exam only is enough for the admission into the National Institute of Technology
The exam conducts both in offline and online mode.

Eligibility:
General and OBC applicants must have secured atleast 60% marks and SC/ST applicants securing 55% marks in 12th can apply for IIT-JEE exam.

Important Dates:
IIT-JEE application form was available from-15 November 2013
IIT-JEE Main conducted by the CBSE and HRD Ministry .It will have 2 papers.
IIT JEE Main 2014 exam held on - 06.04.2014
IIT JEE Advanced 2014 exam held on - 25.05.2014
