Yes, it is possible to pursue Graduate Mechanical Engineering (GME) course after completion of B.Tech course if one fulfills following conditions

Eligibility Criteria

-You should hold any of the following qualifications –

Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Bachelor of engineering in Naval Architecture
Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering

- You should have scored minimum of 50% marks in total in the qualifying degree.
-Your age should not be more than 28 years
- You need to be medical fit as well.
- Must have medical certificate which is approved by Director General Shipping.
-Eye sight must be +/ - 2.5 to apply for this course.
- Must not be having any color blindness

Some of the institutions also consider following criteria –

- Must be Sponsorship by any of the Shipping Companies
-Family Members or relatives in Shipping
- Must have secured 65% overall aggregate in 8 Semesters
-Should have Fluency in English
-Certification in extracurricular activities like NSS / NCC / SPORTS
