IES (Indian Engineering Services) is an exam conducted for the post of engineering in government.

Branches:


IES Exam is taken mainly for the 4 branches of engineering-


Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering


Number of attempts
4 attempts are allowed for General candidates
7 for OBC are allowed for OBC candidates
No limit for SC/ST/others


Eligibility:
The Candidates having an Engineering degree from any recognised university of India or Msc degree from specialised branches are Eligible.


Age limit
The Candidates age in between 21 – 30yrs till 1st of January of the year of examination is eligible for IES Exam.

IES Exam is a paper-pen based exam taken by the UPSC for recruitment of engineers in the Engineering Services of the Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria:
Students must be an Indian.

Students age must be between 21 and 30 years

Students must have Obtained a degree/diploma in engineering from a recognized University .

Date of Notification:- 14.03.2015

Last date for receipt of applications:- 10.04.2015

Date of commencement of Examination:- 12.06.2015

Duration of the Exam:- 3 DAYS.
