Eligible to become a Surgeon after Bachelor of Physiotherapy course
I have completed Bachelor of Physiotherapy course . Am i Eligible to become a Surgeon or not ?

After completion of Bachelor of Physiotherapy course you are not Eligible to become a Surgeon . Eligibility Criteria to become Surgeon To be eligible applicants need to join MBBS course and applicants should be 10+2 Class pass with Physics, chemistry and Biology (PCB) as main subjects at this level. Applicants has to appear in an entrance tests taken by the various state and Independent bodies like PMT, taken by Punjab Government and CBSE-PMT (pre medical test) After completion of MBBS Degree course one years and six months compulsory training one have to go for Master of Surgery (MS) Degree. To be eligible to join MS course Applicants should held a MBBS Degree from a recognized medical college. Some of the various available specializations for a prospective surgeon are:- Ophthalmic Orthopaedic Cardiothoracic General surgery Gynecologic oncology Pediatric Urology Gynecology and obstetrics Neurological Oral and maxillofacial Colon and rectal Otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat) Plastic and maxillofacial Vascular After getting qualification and mandatory training in medical college and hospital, surgeons can choose to work for some Government or Private Hospital or opt for private practice in their area . Salary Surgeon Salary can be anywhere between Rs.35,000 to Rs.40,000 depending upon the competence and area of specialization. |
