Here I am providing the detailed information regarding the Indian Administrative Services Exam for your idea.

Eligibility
a) Aspiring aspirants must have pass Graduation in any stream from a recognized university in India
b) Aspiring aspirants appearing for their final year degree exam are also eligible to apply.
c) Aspiring aspirants with professional and technical qualifications recognized by the Government of India as equivalent to professional and technical degree are eligible .
d) Aspiring aspirants who have passed final year of MBBS are also eligible .

Number of attempts:
4 attempts for General category aspiring students.
7 attempts for Obc category aspiring students
Unlimited attempts for SC/ST category aspiring students

Important Dates:-
Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2015:- 23.08.2015
Civil Services (Main) Exam 2015:- 18.12.2015

Indian Administrative Services (IAS) exam is conducted by the union public service commission (UPSC). The IAS is one of the premier civil services on India.

As per your request, I am going to giving you eligibility criteria for the IAS exam.

Eligibility Criteria for IAS exam

Nationality:

A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee or
A person of Indian origin or equivalent

Education:
Applicant need to pass gradation degree form recognized university in any discipline, applicant who are in final year may also eligible to apply.

Age Criteria:

Applicant age should be between 21 years to 30 years while 5 years age relaxation give to SC/ST categories students and 3 years age relaxations given to ST categories students,

Number of attempts:

For General: 4 times
For OBC: 7 times
For SC/ST: Till 35 yrs of age

Selection Criteria: Applicant selection for the IAS officer goes to the following stages:

Civil Services Prelim exam
Civil Services mains exam
Interview
