Undergraduate Language Programs:

The Jawaharlal Nehru University conducts Entrance Examination in May for admission to various language programs.

Foreign Language Courses in JNU:
B.A. Hons in following languages:

Eligibility Criteria:
For 1st year of Bachelor’s degree Program:

Senior School Certificates (10+2) or equivalent examination with minimum of 45% marks.

Minimum Age: 17 years as on 1st October.


For Second year of Bachelor’s degree Program:

First year of Bachelor’s degree in 10+2+3 pattern of education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 45% marks.

Minimum Age: 18 years as on 1st October.

Eligibility for Foreign Language Courses :
First Year of 3 – year Bachelor’s degree Program :
Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with minimum 45% marks.

The candidates who are appearing in 12th or equivalent exam are eligible to apply.

Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE) is conducting by NTA to get admission into UG, PG & Ph.D. programmes.

Eligibility for MA in German
Pass Bachelor Degree from any recognized university.
Minimum Marks: Secure minimum 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam.
