Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed 30 years Minimum Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed graduation from any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India Number of Attempts: General: 4 OBC: 7 SC and ST: No Limit Scheme of CS (Preliminary) Examination The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of objective type (multiple-choice questions) carrying a maximum of 400 marks. UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, a central government organisation authorized to conducts different examinations for engineering services, civil services, defense and many more through out the year across the country. List of some of UPSC Exams are: Civil Services Examination Engineering Services Examination(IES) Combined Defence Services Examination(CDSE) National Defence Academy Examination(NDA) Naval Academy Examination Combined Medical Services Examination Special Class Railway Apprentice(SCRA) Indian Economic Servce/Indian Statistical Service Examination Geologists’ Examination(GE) Central Armed Police Forces(AC) A nationwide competitive examination in India held by the UPSC for recruitment to the various Civil Services of the Government of India, including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS). Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification: Applicant should be Graduate or pursued Degree in any discipline from any recognized university in India and Final Year Candidates can apply. Age: Bare minimum of 21 Yrs to Maximum of 30 Yrs on 1st August of the year of the Examination UPPER Age Relaxation • A maximum of three years for OBC applicant. • A maximum of five years for candidates belonging to a SC/ST applicant.
