Here I am giving you complete Eligibility criteria for Bank Clerk Exams including age limit, educational qualification, nationality and age relaxation.

Eligibility Criteria for Bank Clerks (As Per CWE)

I. Nationality:

Candidate must be:
Citizen of India or
Subject of Nepal or
Subject of Bhutan or
Tibetan Refugee or
Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam


II. Age Limit:

Minimum: 20 Years
Maximum: 28 Years

Age Relaxation:
SC / ST: 05 Years
Other Backward Classes (OBC): 03 Years
PWD (Gen): 10 Years
PWD (SC /ST): 15 Years
PWD (OBC): 13 Years
Persons domiciled in Kashmir Division of Jammu & Kashmir State during the period from 01 January 1980 to 31 December 1989: 5 years
Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in defense services + 3 years
Widows, Divorced women and women: 9 year


III. Educational Qualifications:

Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.


Other required qualifications:

Computer literacy
Proficiency in the Official Language

State Bank of India (SBI) conducts the SBI Clerk Exam for the recruitment of the post of Assistant in Clerical Cadre.

SBI clerk exam Eligibility Criteria


Passed 12th Class with minimum 60% marks. (55% for SC/ST/PWD)
OR
Graduate with min 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/PWD)
OR
Diploma course passed after 10th from a recognized institute with a minimum of 60% marks.

Age Limit:

Minimum Age : 18 years
Maximum Age : 28 years

Relaxation of Upper age limit

Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe – 5 years
Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years
PWD-SC/ST – 15 years
PWD-OBC-13 years

Nationality-

A candidate must be either –

A Citizen of India or
A subject of Nepal or
A subject of Bhutan or
A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Exam Pattern

The syllabus for the SBI Clerk Entrance Exam is based completely on the syllabus of class 10+2.

Final Selection will be done on the basis of performance in the written test and interview.

The written test will be of Objective type questions of

General Awareness
General English
Quantitative Aptitude
Reasoning Ability
Marketing Aptitude/ Computer Knowledge

There is a negative marking of 1/4th marks for wrong answer in Objective test.
