Eligibility for B Ed in Kalyani University

Is there any entrance exam conducted by the Kalyani University for admission in B.Ed Program? I have completed B.SC Degree and now want to do B.Ed. So what are the minimum eligibility criteria to appear in the Entrance exam for B.Ed conducted by Kalyani University? What is the fee for SC / ST students to join this course?

The Department of Education, University of Kalyani offers B.Ed program of duration 2 years.

Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of teaching experience while freshers are selected for this entrance test based on their academic record.

Eligibility:-

Candidates should be Graduate in a school subject from a recognized university.

Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree/or in the Master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanity.

Bachelors in Engineering or Technology/ B.C.A. / M.C.A. with Science and/or Mathematics as subject with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission.

Freshers should have at least fifty percent marks either in Bachelor's degree /or in the Master's degree in the school subject. For 'Master's Degree', courses of two years duration will be considered for scoring.

Age limit for Freshers is 37 years. There is no age limit for Deputed teachers.

Admission Procedure:-

Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
