The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) conducts Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) examination for Pass Graduate for Class V to Class VIII.


Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)
TET is conducted by West Bengal Central School Service Commission for the Pass Graduate Teacher strictly on the NCTE guideline and West Bengal School Service Commission Rule, 2007.


It for Pass Graduate Teacher only and for teaching in Class V to Class VIII.


Educational Qualification norms for TET for Pass Graduate Teacher only for Class V to VIII:


Candidates with at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved categories) at Graduation OR Master Degree level exam can apply for TET.


Applicants who does not have requisite minimum marks for appearing TET or who only wants to sit for Hons/PG vacancies are allowed to purchase Form & Brochures kit. However, such applicants are allowed to submit the application after Public Notice in this regard mentioning vacancies available for each subject, Category & Regional Commission.


Applicants who also want to sit for Honours /Post Graduate vacancies through 13th RLST (AT) can sit for TET along with next 13th RLST (AT) exam and such candidates have to submit application of RLST in prescribed format to the respective Regional Commission for which they will be interested to apply after publication of Notice of 13th RLST (AT).


Application Fee for TET:
Candidates willing to sit for TET shall pay Application Fee of Rs.250/- (for General and OBC candidates) and Rs.80/- for SC/ST/PH candidates.
