The Deputy Minister informed that The State (tamil Nadu ) had recorded a growth rate of 29 per cent in information technology as against the all-India rate of 12 per cent.

He informed that the state had achieved export turnover of Rs 36,680 Crores out of national turnover of R 2, 20, 000 Crore in 2008-2009.
