The Punjab University was established on 30th October 1962. It is a higher education institute.
The Punjab University offers you to do Ph.D. in English. Ph.D. from Punjab University is a 2 years course. The person who wants to do Ph.D. from Punjab University, he should have a post graduate degree. It’s a full time course. Students have not less then 55% aggregate marks in graduation to take admission for Ph.D.

(i) Full time with scholarship/fellowship
(ii) Full time but without any financial support
(iii) Part time

Duration:
The Ph.D. Course Work comprises of four papers of one semester duration.

Eligibility
Must have passed Master's degree in the concerned/allied subject with at least 55% marks at Master's Degree and 50%marks at Bachelor's Degree Level (SC candidates will get 5% relaxation in post graduation Marks)

Selection Procedure:
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of entrance exam and interview conducted by the university.
