Re: DMRC Okhla
Hello buddy as we have information about Metro Trials Extended to Okhla here we provides you as follows Okhla is a Delhi Metro station in Delhi. It is located between Govind Puri and Jasola Apollo stations on the Violet Line. The station was opened with the first section of the Line on 3 October 2010 in time for the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony on the same day Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has Energized the Metro section between Nehru Place to Okhla today evening and the first Metro train is expected to start trial on this section after 9 PM tonight. first train which will move on this section will have officers from the Signalling and Telecom (S&T), Track, Permanent Way (Civil) and Electrical Department who will travel in the cab along with the train operator to monitor the first trial run. Energization of this three kms long section involved the erection of 225 electrical overhead masts (poles) which the DMRC erected in a record time of only 15 days which otherwise would have required at least 45 days normally. Work was speededup by DMRC by employing extra electrical gangs (manpower) and resources since the DMRC wants to commission this line by the end of this month to keep its target of opening this line before the Commonwealth Games. The time given for the construction of this line was the shortest since only 41 months was given to DMRC for this construction as this line was sanctioned in April 2007. The electrical power for this section will be drawn from the New Delhi substation of DMRC while the Qutab Minar substation will act as a backup. This is the second Standard Gauge corridor after the InderlokMundka corridor of the DMRC. This entire line consists of 16 stations with Central Secretariat, Khan Market, Jawarharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium, Jangpura Metro stations being the underground ones and Lajpat Nagar, Moolchand, Kailash Colony, Nehru Place, Kalkaji Mandir, Govindpuri, Okhla, Jasola, Sarita Vihar, Mohan Estate, Tughlakabad and Badarpur Metro stations being the elevated one CONTACT INFORMATION Metro Bhawan Fire Brigade Lane, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi 110001, India Board No. 23417910/12 |
