Syllabus: The written test consists of two papers: Paper I consist of multiple-choice objective type questions Paper -II consist of subjective type questions. Subject Questions Marks General Awareness 120 120 English 120 120 Logical Ability 120 120 Quantitative Aptitude 120 120 Duration: 1.5 hours There is no negative marking in Paper I. Paper-II consist of subjective type questions on Paragraph Writing, Comprehension, Essay and questions on Science &Technology matter, in English Medium to judge the candidate’s comprehension skills & test of English language. Duration: 1.5 hours Syllabus in paper-I English 1.Basics of English language. 2.Vocabulary and grammar. 3.Sentence structure. 4. Synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage. General Awareness 1.Current Affairs (National and International) 2. Major Financial/Economic News 3. Budget and Five Year Plans 4. Who is who? 5. Sports 6. Books and Authors 7. Awards and Honors 8. Science – Inventions and Discoveries 9. Abbreviations & Important Days and many more Quantitative Aptitude 1. Number System 2. HCF, LCM 3. Simplification 4. Decimal Fractions 5. Ratio and Proportions 6. Unitary Method 7. Percentage, Time and Distance 8. Time and Work 9.Profit and Loss 10. Average 11. Simple and Compound Interest 12. Mensuration (2D and 3D) 13. Algebra 14. Data Interpretation Logical Ability 1. Number & Alphabet Series 2. Test of Direction Sense 3. Coding-Decoding 4. Arithmetical Reasoning 5. Problem on Age Calculation 6. Blood Relations & Decision Making etc. NON-VERBAL 1. NON-VERBAL 2. Mirror Images 3. Grouping Identical & Embedded Figures Syllabus in paper-II Consists of basic knowledge about applied technical post Paper pattern: ![]() Eligibility: Age should be between 18 to 28 years Candidates with higher qualification like B.Tech etc. are not eligible to apply for the posts of Junior Engineers. Only Diploma holders in respective discipline can apply. |
