Distance Learning MCA From Punjab Technical University

I have completed BCA and want to do MCA through distance education from the Punjab Technical University so please tell me is the MCA distance education course of Punjab Technical University is recognized by the UGC or not? Also give me some details about the admission process?

Punjab Technical University is a State Government University established in 1997 it has the 2000 learning centres under distance mode. PTU DEP is approved by Joint Committee of UGC-AICTE-DEC. Under distance education mode.

The MCA is a three year degree course offered by the PTU as distance education mode .

The basic eligibility criteria for MCA is :
On may completed his bachelors in any streams from the recognized university .

Admission :
Admissions are made twice a year in March and September outside Punjab and in September only in the state of Punjab. The University works on semester system and examinations are conduced twice a year in March and September.

The counselling is held at the learning centres and the candidates should contact the Learning centre preferred and must carry attested photocopies of their testimonials. The admissions are done subject to availability of seats / course at Learning Centre. Mere submission of form does not ensure admission
