The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is a national top body which was set up by the packaging and allied industries and the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, for improving the packaging standards in India in 1966.

It is an autonomous body working under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce. It has expanded, with its Head Quarter at Mumbai and Centers located at Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai.
