The NIT And IIT Both Are the engineering college set up for by government. The main aim is to provide quality of education, research in different field of Engineering and science.

Intro
Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) are a group of institutes of higher education in India, focused on information technology. They are established, funded and managed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.


National Institute of Technology
The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are autonomous public institutes of higher education, located in India. They are governed by the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007, which declared them as institutions of national importance alongside Indian Institutes of Technology.


About the Admission Procedure

IITS



Admissions into undergraduate programmes in IIITs are through the Joint Entrance Examination JEE/GATE. Joint Seat Allocation Authority 2016 (JoSAA 2017) conducted the joint admission process
