Directorate of Distance Education - Dibrugarh University was established through 73rd meeting of the Academic Council vide Resolution No. 5 held on 2nd September 2000 decided to introduce Distance Education in the University. This would provide an opportunity to the students who could not enroll themselves as students of the University to obtain a post-graduate degree through the mode of distance education.

Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application(PGDCA)
Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication(PGDJMC)
Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM)

Documents needed at the time of admission:
Attested copy of the H.S.L.C. Examination Admit Card, Marksheet, Pass Certificate.
Attested copy of the HSSLC (10+2) Examination Marksheet and Pass Certificate.
One copy of recent passport size photograph signed by the candidate on the back side and one copy of stamp size photograph.
Attested copy of D.U. Registration Card (if already registered)

Fee Structure & Mode of Payment:
Under Graduate Courses:
The fee for admission to the BBA Programe is Rs.4000/- per year.

The fees for admission to the BCA Programme is Rs.2,500/- per semester.

The fees for admission to the Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme in Annual system is Rs.2500/- per year

The fees for admission to the Bachelor of Arts (BA, Major) programme in Annual system is Rs.3000/-for Major in Assamese and Rs. 2700/- for other Major Courses, per year

The fees for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) programme in Annual system is Rs.3000/- per year

Besides, the enrolled students shall have to fillin the University Registration from with the Registration Fee. Prescribed by the University (at present Rs.250/-).

The fees is inclusive of admission fee, counseling fee, course materials fee, postal charges, etc., payable in single instalment at the time of admission. Fees shall be acceted in cash or in the form of a crossed demand draft drawnin favour of”Distance Education Fund, Dibrugarh University” and payable at “SBI, Dibrugarh University Branch (Code : 2051). The fee once deposited is non-refundable. Students admitted will be provided with cash receipts for the deposit of admission fees.

Post Graduate Courses:
The fees for admission into the Post Graduate programmes viz. M.A./M.Sc.(Math)/M.Com. shall be Rs.5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) per annum.

The fees for admission into both PGDMM and PGDJMC programmes shall be Rs.6,000/- (Rupees Six Thousand only).

The fees for admission to the PGDCA programme is Rs.3,500/- per semester.

The fees is inclusive of admission fee, counseling fee, course materials fee, postal charges, etc., payable in single installment at the time of admission. Fees shall be accepted in cash or in the form of a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of ”Distance Education Fund, Dibrugarh University” and payable at “SBI, Dibrugarh University Branch (Code : 2051). The fee once deposited is non-refundable. Students admitted will be provided with the University cash receipts (printed) for the deposit of admission fees.
